A name or place entered in a search tool is transmitted to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the query and supplies its results. Kings County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be kept long enough to review it and respond. It remains within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.

Kings County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its pages explain how to reach the Kings County Sheriff's Records Division, Kings Superior Court, California Department of Justice, and California Megan's Law Website. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is never compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules apply to anything submitted through those tools. Review the provider's terms before running a query because this policy does not govern its processing.
Links to Other Websites
Throughout the site we link to sheriff's office pages, court portals, state agency sites, legal aid groups, and third-party search tools. Clicking any of those links takes you off our site. At that point, their privacy policy governs your visit. Read it before sharing any personal details.
Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
